Easy to Install, Super Sturdy, and Perfect for TRX Training
The TRX Training X‑Mount has been great for my home setup. It was surprisingly easy to install—just a couple of solid anchors into the ceiling and it was ready to go. The hardware feels strong and well‑made, and once mounted, it hasn’t budged. I’ve been using it regularly with my TRX straps, and it has held up perfectly with no loosening, wobbling, or signs of wear.It gives you a really secure anchor point, which makes a huge difference when you’re leaning your full body weight into the straps. I feel completely confident using it for all the exercises. If you want a clean, permanent solution for hanging TRX straps, this mount does exactly what it’s supposed to do and does it well.

Super sturdy TRX mount. Heavy duty !
TRX Mount is perfect on the ceiling. Super sturdy when installed in a stud on the ceiling. Can’t wait to begin my workouts

Works just as expected (make sure you download the installation instructions!)
I stumbled upon the TRX bands while searching for something else, and I’m very glad I purchased them. The bands work great, and our whole family is now using them in our exercise room (there’s a lot of expensive equipment in there collecting dust while we use the TRX bands now).I installed the bands in the ceiling using this TRX X-mount and it has worked perfect. For me, mounting these on the ceiling was much much better than attaching them to the top of a door. To me, it wouldn’t be worth it if I had to mount it on top of a door. The main exercise I wanted to do with these was inverted rows, and those require that you lay flat on the ground almost directly under the ceiling mount. So if I had mounted it on at the top of a door, then inverted rows wouldn’t have been possible (nowhere to put your feet / extend your legs). This mount easily bolted in to the ceiling joist in our exercise room (the joist was 1.5 inches wide and I used a stud finder to ensure I drilled into the middle of it for maximum stability). The mount is very very secure … doesn’t move or sway at all.One suggestion – make sure you download the TRX Accessory X-Mount installation instructions. I just double checked, and for whatever reason the detailed instructions don’t seem to have come in the box? I found the online installation instructions by accident when searching online to find out what size drill bit to use to drill the pilot holes in the ceiling. The install instructions were especially helpful because they clarified the exact workout space I needed to take full advantage of the bands. The original TRX box said you needed a workout space of 8 ft deep by 6 ft wide, and I just assumed the 8 feet was straight back from where you mount them on the ceiling. But that’s not the case. The X-mount install instructions clarify that the recommended workout distance is 5 ft back from the ceiling mount, while leaving 3 ft in front of you (5 + 3 = 8 ft). Bottom line – For me, mounting on the ceiling was definitely the way to go. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to do certain exercises (included the inverted rows that I bought the bands for in the first place). I also moved some other equipment around to make sure the workout space for these was the recommended width of 6 ft wide (3 ft on each side). Having the full 8 ft X 6 ft space available to work out in makes a big difference, and the ceiling mount is a ton better than a door.Very happy with this X-mount. Very easy to install and it has worked perfectly. Took less than 30 min to install (after I found the instructions 🙂

Works with any suspension training system…better
Although I personally prefer rip:60 to TRX because they designed the straps so that you can also do a “sawing motion” so that you expand the exercises you can do on it and I think it’s made better for less, I like this mount better than the Rip:60 suspension trainer mount. This is HEAVY DUTY. It’s not thin metal by any means. The cross X means that you won’t have one metal loop that might not be saudered well that can break away at any time after repeated use. Because there are two metal pieces soldered to the base, you have double strength holding up your body and your suspension training system. Also this comes with the screws and the rip:60 mount does not. I would never in a million years guessed the size of the screws that came with this…they were the biggest screws I’d ever seen…but I got them in the ceiling stud even though I had to read the directions to know how to use a stud finder…piece of cake.I wouldn’t enjoy suspension training nearly enough strapped on a door. The very first day I realized the importance of the ceiling mount because I’m encumbered by no walls in my moves. Because I use the workout DVDs to do my routine, I have total 360 degree rotation to be able to watch the DVDs and do the moves at the same time, regardless of what the move is or what direction I need to face…I can move the trainer around easily.I actually got a metal clamp like the ones that attach the hand straps to the suspension trainer to strap onto this mount, then attach my suspension trainer. You can just attach it the same way it shows you to attach your suspension trainer to a tree branch. The Rip:60 comes with the door mount free, unlike the TRX, but I think this greatly improves the ease of my workout and gives me more room needed for things like squats or lunges away from walls and doors….and the ability to move about freely if one move requires more room.I have a ceiling fan in the middle of my workout room but putting it to the side of the fan so blades can whirl while still in use was a cinch.I would not trust something lighter or not made to hold up human weight to hold me on the ceiling. The screws are made to hold 600 lbs (I’m NOWHERE near that…but I like that it can!) as is the mount. It’s not lightweight. This is heavy duty metal that is double reinforced by two metal mounts. The suspension trainer can hang in either direction from the X. It doesn’t matter.

One on the ceiling, one on the wall, both work well
Worked well – image shows a different connection type for the straps than what came with ours, but still functions as intended

Prodotto garantito in qualità.

Quality product and easy to install

Just finished installing this – it was a good workout just securing it to the ceiling with the included 3-inch lag bolts using a socket wrench. I used a 3/16″ drill bit to create pilot-holes. This size hole is large enough to guide the lag bolt and small enough not to compromise the lag bolt’s grip. The mount seems very secure. Also, I installed mine on a spackled ceiling so I scraped off the bigger lumps to allow for a more even mating surface.Unpacking tip: The plastic bag the X-Mount comes in is not sealed so the X-Mount almost slid out of the bag when I picked it up. This thing is heavy and would probably break a couple of toes if it landed on your foot.I’ll update my review once I’ve tried it out a few times.
